Vijaya has been used for thousands of years by Ayurvedic practitioners to help people Vijaya for Pain Management. Studies have traced its usage to over 5,000 years ago, when early Chinese physicians used this herb to treat rheumatic pain, pain related to childbirth, constipation, and malaria.

Over the years, countless research and clinical trials have addressed the effectiveness of Vijaya in alleviating various painful health conditions. Modern medical experts are leveraging this herb’s vast analgesic potential and increasingly prescribing it to their patients.

As per a recent Harvard study, the most common medicinal use for Vijaya (cannabis) is for pain control, and it is found to be quite effective for chronic pain, affecting millions of people worldwide, especially as they age.

study evaluated the perspective of over 980 patients with chronic pain, including those with neuropathic pain, arthritis, abdominal pain, post-surgical pain, back and joint pains, etc. Most reported pain relief as the most significant benefit of Vijaya use, followed by improved sleep, reduction in opioid consumption, little to no side effects, and improved quality of life.

Let us look at some of the real results of patients using Vijaya to attenuate their pain and learn more about the herb’s therapeutic efficacy.

Case Study 1

This is the case of a 28-year-old male patient who had a history of pain in both the shoulder joints, both the hip joints, right knee, and lower back radiating towards the legs. He also complained of swelling in his right knee joint and stiffness in the calf muscles. Because of these conditions, he faced sleep disturbances, could not sit long to study, and had to refrain from traveling.

The patient has been experiencing this pain for over 2.5 years and consulted multiple ortho specialists. After undergoing an MRI, X-ray, and other medical tests, the allopathic practitioners prescribed him certain painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs, which were only effective for a short time and worsened the condition in the long run.

Ayurvedic health experts at Hempstreet Medicare prescribed Vijaya in the form of the potent Trailokya Vijaya Vati and other natural treatment methods. Within the first 15 days of the medication, the patient reported remarkable relief from pain and stiffness. Further medicinal treatment led to decreased swelling and reduced pain recurrence, thus highlighting Vijaya’s robust analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Case study 2

The 78-year-old female patient had a history of severe chronic pain for the last two to three years and had spine surgery and total knee replacement. It prevented her from conducting any physical activity and hampered her daily lifestyle. She used a wheelchair to move around. Although she could get up, it was laborious for her to stand for even a few seconds.

She kept gaining weight, behaved irritably, and remained consistently stressed over the most minor things. Not only did her pain disrupt her sleep cycle, but it was also easily affected by seasonal and weather changes. A short time before the study, she also complained of pain and tingling in her hands and neck.

A physical examination found that she was mildly osteoporotic. On her earlier visit to a spine clinic, the doctors prescribed strong painkillers, which were ineffective, and recommended getting spine surgery. Though she was immediately operated on and felt greatly relieved, soon, the pain re-emerged intensely, affecting all her joints.

After being treated with Trailokya Vijaya Vati and other Ayurvedic concoctions, the patient gave better reviews within a week. The medications attenuated her pain and tingling and helped her sleep well. She could now stand for a while without much discomfort. Her complaints and irritability were significantly reduced.

Additionally, she reported that her pain was now manageable; she would often try to walk little distances by herself without the wheelchair or any other aid, and the treatment had impacted her life quality positively.

Case Study 3

For this study, a sample size of over 28 patients (both males and females) was selected, with their average age being at least 30 years. They all had similar complaints of multiple joint pains (some degenerative and some inflammatory) and insomnia associated with the pain.

Some of these patients suffered from comorbidities, some were taking allopathic medication and wanted to switch to Ayurveda for its natural and safer approach, while others were already undergoing Ayurvedic treatment with satisfactory results.

The Ayurvedic doctors at Hempstreet prescribed Trailokya Vijaya Vati to help manage their conditions. All the patients reported noteworthy relief in pain and improvements in sleep on their first follow-up. They also mentioned that they were eager to continue with the medication. Their satisfaction ratio increased by 60%.

What Makes Vijaya the Ideal Herb For Pain Management?

The Harvard study mentioned initially stated that Vijaya is safer than harmful and addictive opiates and could easily replace medications like NSAIDs. The herb could alleviate nerve pain and pains associated with multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, HIV, cancer, IBS, etc. Very few medications are available for such conditions, and those that are, remain highly sedating and disruptive.

The study further stated that the patients reported that Vijaya enabled them to resume their daily activities without feeling disengaged. In addition, the herb is highly effective for conditions like fibromyalgia, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, and most other conditions that lead to chronic pain.

The herb contains pharmacologically active compounds called cannabinoids, CBD, and THC. They show strong pain-relieving characteristics. Both resemble the naturally occurring cannabinoid compounds in the human body and, on consumption, stimulate the brain’s cannabinoid receptors.

This activates the brain’s reward system and helps relieve all forms of pain and inflammation. Vijaya also exhibits anti-anxiety and anti-depressant properties by acting on the brain’s receptors.

With pain being a growing health concern around the world and patients increasingly consuming Vijaya to manage their condition, you must know how you can leverage this potent herb and find relief from acute and chronic pains.
